The Gen10 list celebrates young leaders and changemakers from across the country

Washington, D.C. — Today, NextGen America announced its annual Gen10 list, featuring young diverse leaders, community organizers, activists, and creatives who are helping shape young peoples’ power around the country and transforming the way our voices are represented nationwide. This announcement also honors a collection of ‘Trailblazers,’ experienced leaders who have continued to show up for, partner with, and amplify youth voices.

The Gen10 list features Darrin Camilleri, State Senator from Michigan’s 4th District, Jasmine Crockett, United States Congresswoman from Texas’s 30th Congressional District, Julia Cuneo, strategic coordinator with Detroit Area Youth Uniting Michigan, David Hogg, President at Leaders We Deserve and Co-founder of March For Our Lives, Alexandria Hughes, Mental Health and Criminal Justice Activist, Zohaib Qadri, city council member for Austin, Texas’s District 9, Ana Ramon, Executive Director at Annie’s List, Korey Salter, Senior Director, National Partnerships and Constituency Engagement at Everytown for Gun Safety, Jesse Woche, Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator at Texas Gun Sense, and Jasiri X, activist, rapper, and Co-founder of 1HoodMedia.

NextGen America’s 2024 Trailblazers are Senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman from Washington’s 7th Congressional District Pramila Jayapal, and Director of Polling at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, John Della Volpe.

“NextGen America is excited to celebrate our 2024 Gen10 list of changemakers and Trailblazers,” NextGen America President Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez said. “Our movement for a government that reflects us, represents us, and respects us starts in our local communities, and these young activists are leading the charge. We are proud to recognize this powerful group of young people, while simultaneously recognizing the critical work of those before us. We are fighting for a world where we can all live and thrive together, from climate justice, to abortion rights, to a fair economy, these folks are changing the landscape and using their voices to build a better future for all.”

As Gen10 partners, NextGen America will collaborate with these leaders to educate young people on key issues, like defending and expanding voting rights, demanding urgent climate action, and advocating for abortion access and care, among others. NextGen is proud to work alongside these leaders who reflect the unique backgrounds and passions of the youth movement and our communities.

Leading up to Election Day in November, NextGen aims to contact millions of young voters to build on the momentum of young people eager to participate in our democracy and have their voices heard.
